Our Working Practises

We work on a consultation basis. After initial consultation (unless otherwise arranged) you will receive your detailed quotation. This is an itemised quotation and the total cost generated is based on the assumption that the multiple services quoted are accepted as this creates economies of scale. If selected items are required, prices may vary. 

We will then contact you within 3 months of your event date to arrange a final consultation wherein we will discuss all items quoted and any additional ones that may have been added in the interim. Any final decisions will be made at this stage and you will be asked to complete a pre-wedding form to detail all suppliers and other details pertaining to your event.

Responsibility/Liability

All property hired from Lara Parnell Weddings (LPW) remains the property of LPW. The hirer is solely accountable for the property during the entire hire period until the products are returned/ collected and it is prohibited for any items hired to be let or sub-let to any other persons at any time.

LPW are not responsible for any damage or injury caused as a result of the hire arrangement.

We may require a 20% refundable damage waiver in the form of bank transfer or cash and this shall be returned after the event and upon inspection of hire items. If damage to LPW property is established, we reserve the right to retain the waiver in full.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All quotations are valid for 28 days.

  2. All prices quoted include delivery, set up, breakdown & removal unless otherwise specified.*

  3. LPW require non-refundable/non-transferable booking fee and confirmation of acceptance in writing within 28 days to secure our services for your date. **

  4. Any balance will be invoiced four – six weeks before the event following the final consultation.

  5. The final balance is due two weeks prior to the event or two weeks after the date of invoice (whichever is sooner).

  6. If the final balance has not been received 2 weeks prior to the event, LPW reserve the right to withdraw their services and recover all costs incurred.

  7. Prices quoted for fresh flowers allow for natural inflation but any extenuating circumstances that may affect an increase in flower prices will be reflected in your invoice.

  8. All fresh flowers are subject to availability and undergo stringent quality checks. Specific biological species of fresh flowers may be included within this quotation; these will be subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute any of the fresh flowers mentioned to some of equivalent value and quality without notice.

  9. Charges will be made for any damage/missing hired equipment such as glassware, electrical equipment etc. Replacement of goods is charged at the current purchase price. It is the responsibility of the hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault.

  10. LPW reserve the right to take photographs of flowers and the setting prior to the event which may be used for promotional purposes.

  11. *Two or more venues may incur further costs.

  12. **This is non-refundable even in the event of a force majeure, and covers all administration costs and closure of the date. Although an alternative date will be offered should a cancellation take place with circumstances such as COVID-19 FOC.

Cancellation

You can cancel your order any time before the date of your event.*

If you have to change the date of your wedding for to any reason, we will offer you an alternative date wherever possible.  If you accept the alternative date, then the price will be adjusted accordingly whether higher or lower.

We are subject to UK law and legislation and cannot be held responsible for any changes made by the authorities/municipality office regarding the procedure of weddings.

For the avoidance of doubt we will not be liable for any additional costs/losses that you or any of your wedding party may incur as a result of any change or cancellation by us as per above due to reasons beyond our control including, but not limited to alternative wedding arrangements, holiday and flight cancellations.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

If you are unable/ do not accept/ require the alternative date offered you will be subject to the following cancellation fees**;

*More than nine calendar months prior to event = 0% cancellation fee, loss of booking fee.

Up to nine calendar months to event = 25% cancellation fee

Up to six calendar months to event = 50% cancellation fee

Up to three calendar months to event = 100% cancellation fee

If LPW has to cancel this contract for reasons beyond their control, (death, injury, sickness or circumstances beyond their control, government law but not limited to as above), their liability shall be limited to offering a refund of any monies paid to them by you to date. Not including payment for any incurred costs to date.

**Please note that ‘cancellation fee’ refers to the total quote amount.

Agreement

Please ensure that you have read & fully understood the terms & conditions of this contract.

By confirming and booking (by way of paying the booking fee and confirming in writing) with LPW you agree to ALL of the terms detailed above.
